At RockinDachs, placement is not first-come, first-served. It is evaluation-based and lifestyle-matched — because the right companion for the right family is the only outcome we are interested in. The Legacy Home Enrollment is how that process begins.
How It Works
1. Apply
Complete the Legacy Home Application. Tell us about your home, your household, your experience with dogs, and what you are looking for in a companion. This is not a formality — we read every application carefully.
2. Approval and Enrollment Fee
Once approved, you will be invited to pay the $200 Enrollment Fee to officially join the Legacy Home Enrollment. This fee is non-refundable and covers the time and care that goes into reviewing your application and beginning the matching process. It is applied in full toward your final balance at Homecoming Day.
3. Litter Updates
Enrolled families receive updates on upcoming litters, whelping announcements, and early development milestones. Legacy List members get access to information the public does not see.
4. The Compatibility Evaluation
When prospects approach seven weeks, we schedule a Compatibility Evaluation — a Google Meet conversation where we discuss your lifestyle, your preferences, and the evaluation results for the current litter.
5. The Match
Based on the 4-Point Evaluation and your family profile, we identify the prospect whose temperament, Drive, and Confidence level are the best fit for your home. You will receive a full introduction to your matched prospect and the reasoning behind the match.
6. Reservation
Once the match is confirmed, the $500 Reservation Fee secures your prospect and locks in your tier. This fee is non-refundable and applied toward your final balance.
7. Homecoming Day
Your prospect comes home with a complete Homecoming Dossier — everything you need for a confident, well-prepared start.
Enrollment at a Glance
Enrollment Fee — $200, non-refundable, applied to final balance
Reservation Fee — $500, non-refundable, applied to final balance
Total Applied at Homecoming — $700 deducted from final balance
Transferable — Yes, your enrollment carries to future litters if the current litter is not the right fit
